This is an area where the question that folks unfamiliar with this game of 'what will do this or that for x title' is sort of requiring a definition of terms.

The question is mostly about how well with the listed CPU (and as I have posted elsewhere) because of this series' CPU lean, and the issue of 32 bit applications limiting just how much video memory you can use anyway. The OP build will play both S2 (Shogun2) and Attila. The OP list and some other reference price lists refer to US sources, and these prices may not be the same for where you are. That means you need to check local sources carefully for the components before you set your mind on them as sure buys because you may find they are not scaled evenly across the board as you cross borders. One needs to keep in mind that prices vary between the US and Europe significantly for some components, while others are not greatly different at all. Thanks also to the folks who DID post some good alternatives! Hi and sorry for the length of this comment, in advance. To be honest I wouldn't recommend this as I can't imagine whatever computer you have at the moment is too much worse than this. Then just play shogun 2 at high settings for now and cope with playing newer games at low settings and resolution. If like you say £400 is the max you can spend then you might want to look at either trying to save up a bit more money for something like the above or if that's not possible go for some absolute budget components. Unfortunately to play the latest TW games at reasonable settings you do need a reasonably strong cpu and gpu, especially for TW Attila as this build would probably still only give you something like 40 fps on performance settings at 1080p. You may find some cheaper rx 460s so you may be able to save £10-15 there, if you don't intend on playing any newer games then the 2GB versions would be fine I think. That might save you £30 but I personally wouldn't say that's worth it for the increase in load times and more sluggish general use. If you were going to cut this down on price I'd perhaps drop the ssd and change the wd blue 5400 to a wd blue 7200. Remember you would still need your operating system (make sure you get the retail version unless you don't intend to upgrade) and a wifi card if you need it (I'd recommend the gigabyte GC-WB867D-I) which would add on another £130ish together. To try and play TW Attila with reasonable fps on a budget, I would go with something like this. I may be asking for the impossible I just don't know XD. Is this build good enough? Or would I need to change somethings around? If i do need better stuff then I would like to stay at roughly the same budget (£300-£400). That being a build that someone else has put together and recommended on another forum (link to the build here: ). I am currently a Uni student so budget is low, however while looking at other forums I have come across something. I have a very limited experience with requirements and all the hardware hence I have set this up for some advice. The main games for me would be Shogun 2 and Attila (priority Shogun), so these would need to be running on at least high settings with good FPS.

Okay now, I am wanting to get a gaming PC that will allow me to play most if not all of the Total War games at a level that I can truly enjoy the experience.
